Call for Abstracts

Abstracts are now invited for presentation at the 39th conference of the Australian and New Zealand Association for Research in Music Education (ANZARME) to be held at Edith Cowan University, School of Education (Mt Lawley campus), Perth, Western Australia, from September 28 – October 1 2017. For those wishing to address it, the conference theme is Time and Tide:

Time: the unchanging nature of what lies at the core of music education

Tide: the ebb and flow of the political and social landscape surrounding music education

Please note that papers which do not address the conference theme will be accepted for consideration in the same way as papers which do. Please note, the deadline for submission of abstracts is Friday June 30, 2017

Fields marked with an * are required

Papers are 20 minute lecture-style presentations followed by 10 minutes for questions/responses. Abstracts should be no more than 300 words, including no more than 2-3 key references if desired.

Call for complete papers

Full articles are now invited for publication in a special focus ANZARME conference edition of the Australian Journal of Teacher Education. Up to 15 articles will be accepted for publication, pending meeting the AJTE publication guidelines as follows:

The AJTE aims “to enhance the quality of teacher education through the publication of research reports, learned points of view and commentaries. Contributions may address proposals for, or descriptions of, development in the purpose, structure and methodology of teacher education; curriculum issues; changes in schools; or general social, ideological or political issues relating to teacher education. Papers must make an explicit connection with teacher education”.

Articles do not need to address the conference theme, but are required to meet AJTE editorial guidelines. Full articles will be assessed in conjunction with abstracts.
